Face attractiveness test: what a score out of 10 really measures

"Am I attractive?" The question is simple, but the answer isn't. A good test gives you more than a single number: it measures your face feature by feature, explains where the score comes from and tells you what you can change. 📸

What a serious test measures

Online tests that hand out a random score teach you nothing. A useful test relies on precise facial landmarks and on criteria known from attractiveness research:

How the GlowUpTogether test works

You take two photos: one front-on, one in profile. The facial landmarks are placed right in your browser, then the AI scores each feature out of 10 and calculates your overall score with your ranking. The whole thing takes about three minutes.

You also see the ratios measured on your photos (face width, facial thirds, eye angle, jaw angle), so you can understand what drives the score.

A score isn't the end goal

A score out of 10 depends on many things you can change: haircut, beard or eyebrows, skin, body fat, posture, the lighting in the photo. That's why the test leads to a plan, ranked by expected gain, from free habits to in-office treatments.

GlowUpTogether never recommends surgery. Minimally invasive procedures (injections, laser) are presented as options to discuss with a qualified doctor. 🩺

Getting a reliable result

The photo matters as much as the face. Have someone else take it from about 5 feet (1.5 m), at eye level, in daylight, with no filter and a neutral expression. A selfie at arm's length distorts the nose and shrinks the jaw.

What our measurements show

Our engine compares 36 face proportions against reference ranges. Across 78 adult faces, a face falls inside the range for a median of 9 of them. The best one hits 16, and none reaches half.

A proportion outside the range is therefore normal, not a flaw. What matters is the overall balance and the features you can work on.

Measured on November 3, 2026 by the GlowUpTogether engine on 78 compliant front-facing photos (out of 102) from the Face Research Lab London Set (DeBruine and Jones, CC BY 4.0 license): 34 women and 44 men, median age 25. Method and limits (in French).

Frequently asked questions

Is the face attractiveness test free?

Yes. The scan is free: you get your scores and a preview of your plan. The full plan and the 30-day challenge come with a subscription, with no commitment.

Can an AI really judge attractiveness?

It doesn't judge your worth. It measures proportions and criteria that studies link to perceived attractiveness, with a margin of error. The most useful part is the breakdown by feature and the plan that follows from it.

Are my photos shared?

No. They stay in your private account, on European servers, and you can delete everything at any time. 🔒
